About Us
In 2018, our founders set out to solve a critical problem in cybersecurity; how to horizontally scale cyber risk management practices in one distributed organization. What they discovered has revolutionized cyber risk management everywhere.
Who are we?
Working with the University of Arizona, our founders launched a groundbreaking program that validated the feasibility of a shared responsibility approach at their tier-one research institution. This research led to the development of a methodology called Federated Cyber-Risk Management (FCR), designed to distribute risk ownership and responsibilities more effectively.
To support this new methodology, we created the Sibylity Platform—a solution that simplifies the shift in responsibilities required by FCR, making shared responsibility for cybersecurity not just a theory, but a practical, scalable reality.
Today, our team is a unique blend of those pioneers who helped develop and implement FCR at the University of Arizona, alongside experts who've since joined to bring diverse perspectives and expertise. Together, we've adapted and refined our platform to be more flexible and applicable across a wide range of industries and organizations.
Our Mission
SibylSoft’s mission is to strengthen and support overburdened, underfunded security teams by transforming administrative controls from a dreaded burden into a shared responsibility.
Through automation and user experiences that empower cross-organization participation, we aim to make these controls more efficient and effective while helping teams combat human-enabled breaches.
Why We Do It
We do it because we’ve lived the pain of underfunded security teams, and we know firsthand that the traditional approach of centralizing processes is failing people like us. We do it because we had the opportunity to research, test, and prove new ways of working — and now we’re committed to giving back by sharing those solutions with the teams who need them most.
